Burt’s Bees have just launched their exciting new Lipstick range and I am indeed, already hooked. This lip product is 100% natural and and boasts 8-hour moisture with a smooth satin finish. When I saw that they were coming to the bullring this weekend just gone, I just had to go and see what all the fuss was about. I booked a consultation for myself and my mum for Sunday – exciting.
When we arrived, the burt’s bees girls were so friendly and helpful. We sat down and discussed what sort of shades we love and then we got to try some really pretty ones! I loved every single shade I tried but I am a huge fan of nude colours at the moment so I went for the shade Nile Nude which I got as a freebie for booking the consultation. My mum went for a slightly darker nude in the shade Blush Basin, another one of my favourites in the collection.
This nude is just so flattering on, I was initially concerned about how much pigmentation this product would have with it being 100% natural but I needn’t of been. The colour pay off is fantastic although I would say that it is one of those lipsticks you need to keep applying throughout the day. This isn’t really a concern for me though because this stuff just feels like a dream on your lips.
When you compare this to other lipsticks on the market, this product literally feels like your applying a balm or treatment to your lips. So you basically get that nourishment and moisture but your also getting a fabulous pop of colour at the same time. My lips actually feel so much smoother just from using this. I adore the packaging as well, the product comes in a dark grey lipstick tube with a honey comb effect on the lid in the shade of your lipstick’s colour.
I think my favourite thing about this product though is that it is so good for your lips. With all the recent weather changes and what not, I’ve found my lips have become quite dry so it’s nice to have a lipstick I know that is not only going to look great but also going to feel great too. It’s packed with some fabulous ingredients such as bees wax, vitamin E, Moringa (you can read my post on moringa oil here) and raspberry seed oil to give your lips so much moisture and nourishment so it truly is a #lipstickthatlovesyouback.
There are 18 adorable shades currently available to choose from rangeing from your natural nude and pink colours to your deeper reds and berries. The new Burt’s Bees lipsticks retail at £9.99 and can be purchased from John Lewis both in store and online.
Burt’s Bees are also giving away 100 free lipsticks every 8 hours so make are you follow the link below and enter for your chance to win one!

Yeah they are both gorgeous colours, I would stuck between this one and blush basin but my mum went for that one so I went with Nile nude for something different :).

I never imagined that these would have great pigmentation, but they actually look so good!
They really are.. especially when I tried the darker shades at the launch stand (wish I had some pictures) .. the only thing I would say is they do need to be reapplied throughout the day.. but the condition of my lips has improved so much since using this lipstick :).

Ahh thank you I thought it looked so cute aha. I love this shade, it’s a really lovely nude colour :).

Wow, I’m super impressed with the pigmentation! I’ve been putting off purchasing these for a while now (only because I have so many Burt’s Bees balms and didn’t think there was much of a difference) but I LOVE that these are packed with color – definitely a reason to grab some! 🙂
They are so so good, I want to build up a collection of them because they feel so moisturising on my lips! The only thing is that because they’re quite a creamy product, you do need to reapply through the day when you eat, drink etc :).
