Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

I must admit that lipstick is one of those makeup essential items for me that I just couldn’t live without. I’ve not had the opportunity to try a single Kat Von D product before so I must admit I was a little (a lot) excited when I herd they had recently launched in Debenhams. Of course, I had to head over there asap to have a browse of her makeup collection and I just couldnt leave without purchasing the Everlasting liquid lipstick that’s been raved about by so many. I was tempted by a number of the gorgeous shades on offer but in the end I settled for ‘Bow N Arrow’ and ‘Lolita I’. I immediately couldn’t wait to see for myself why Kat Von D’s oh so famous Everlasting Liquid Lipstick stands high and mighty above so many others in the market at present.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

The product is housed in a tall, thin 6.6ml lipstick tube with some beautiful and stylish patterned detail printed around the neck of the tube and on the lid. The wand style applicator is slightly longer in comparison to other liquid lipsticks I have in my collection but this wasn’t an issue for me. I found the product easy to apply, it glided onto my lips with absolute ease and I found it covered well with both shades being highly pigmented. The product didn’t feel drying on my lips, I found it felt ever so velvety and smooth on application and it dried down in no time at all – leaving a stunning, smooth matte finish.

The Everlasting Liquid lipstick by Kat Von D really stood out to me on initial application purely because it felt so moisturising compared with others. In my own experience with liquid lipsticks, I’ve found that there definitely has to be compromises in the formula to really please us avid makeup lovers. I’ve tried some lipsticks that have felt so nourishing on my lips but have never fully dried down properly which doesn’t do much for longevity of the product nor it’s non transferable notion. This actually leads me back to that one embarrassing time that I walked through the city unknowingly with purple smeers of lipstick transfer on my face which I have to say, really wasn’t one of my better moments and I most certainly learned from that experience. I’ve tried others that have completely dried down to a beautiful matte finish that has stayed firmly put throughout my day of eating, drinking etc. but has left my lips feeling very much like a desert which just really isn’t ideal despite the great lasting power.

Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick

Kat Von D has got her Everlasting Liquid Lipsticks absolutely spot on, incorporating Vitamin E and Sunflower Seed Wax into the formula so your lips feel just as good as they look. These lipsticks feel so nourishing whilst drying down to a matte finish thats completely none transferable. I’ve found the product to have some incredible lasting power and I can really see why this liquid lipstick holds such an outstanding reputation in such a competative industry.

Bow N Arrow – A fabulous fawn nude shade, perfect for adding a touch of spice to your everyday makeup.

Lolita I – A beautiful, yet striking chesnut rose that will bring your makeup look to life from day through to the evening.

I absolutely adore these liquid lipsticks from Kat Von D’s makeup collection and I think they are certainly a new found favourite. I’m already impatiently waiting to get my hands on more shades and I can’t wait to experiment with even more products from her ever-growing makeup collection.

I am always intrigued to hear when a liquid lipstick is nourishing! One of the main reasons that I have not tried out products like this yet is that I absolutely hate having dry lips, so this option sounds right up my street! With the 10% off offer at Debenhams, it is pretty hard to resist buying this myself! Bow N Arrow is the shape that I am most attracted to, thanks for providing such great swatches! gorgeous photographs and a very in-depth review, you clearly worked hard on this blog post!

Thanks for the lovely comment, I’m glad you enjoyed the read. I’m pretty much wearing ‘Bow N Arrow’ most days at the moment, it’s certainly an everyday favourite. I think the 10% off makes it all the more tempting to give them a try :). Ellie Xx

In a market with so many liquid lipsticks it’s so nice to find one that stands out from the rest. This lipstick looks so nice – I have never had any Kat Von D products either but this review had made me want to try them out! 10% of Debenhams is great too! Thank you for this post x

Ooh I have always wanted to try a Kat von D product to see if it would be the one for me and your post has intrigued me to definitely purchase one. I love a good liquid lipstick and the fact that you said that this one is a good all rounder has intrigued me even more.

Quick side note: this was such a beautifully detailed and well-written review. You’ve inspired me!

Thank you so much for your kind words, I always try my best to make my reviews as detailed & informative as possible. This one’s certainly one of the best I’ve tried & I’ll definitely be investing in more shades when I can :).

I really want to try Kat Von D liquid lipsticks and I haven’t had a chance to yet, so this was fun to read! They aren’t in any of my local Debenhams unfortunately, so I’m gonna have to Debenhams oxford street to swatch them.

Really want to try Kat Von D make up but we don’t have it in my local Debenhams and I want to swatch before I order online? I love both of these colours, they’re so pretty?

It’s such a shame that some stores don’t have them yet, although I can imagine Kate Von D will be extremely popular so I imagine her products will be in more stores soon so you can swatch them & find your favourites :).

These look like a MUST TRY. I love liquid lipsticks but don’t own many.. I love them to be long lasting too. Will have to check this out, thanks for sharing!

Beautiful shades! I’m curious to try some but they are quite pricey compared to some other brands and I’m the kind of person who wants to have a lot of colour options, so I’ve always stuck with the cheaper ones like Nyx. I’d be really interested to read a post where you could compare formulas that you’ve tried and enjoyed!

I agree, they are really pricey so if you like to have a lot of colour options, these can be a bit of a stretch. A comparison post on different brands and different formulas is something I’ve definitely been considering doing in the near future – it would be nice to compare both high street & high end from my collection to see how they compare the each other :).

I’m so glad to hear that these worked for you; however, I did not feel they worked well for me which is a darn shame! I’d been wanting to try this formula for a while so when they came to Love Me Beauty, I picked up the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick in Outlaw, which is a striking red. I love a statement red lip! However, half way through the day the middle of the red was gone and it looked like I had outlined my lips with red :/ I will retry to use it again and use a liner to help it last longer. The Bow N Arrow color looks AMAZING!

    • Ellie Elizabeth | Make It Up. says:

Aah I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed when you gave these a go.. I’d be interested to try Outlaw for myself to see how that compares to the two shades I’ve currently got. I think with different colours the formulas can vary and I think that’s why some shades are found to not work as well as others. Bow N Arrow is definitely a favourite of mine, I’ve worn it everyday and it wears really well though the day – I often apply a tiny bit of translucent powder over my liquid lipstick for extra lasting power so you could maybe try that? :).

I have tried Kat Von D lock it foundation and her blush duo and it pretty good. I read many reviews of KVD liquid lipstick and so far so good that I should just add to my Sephora cart/
