The Look Incredible box is a subscription beauty box that I really had to get my hands on after having it recommended to me and reading all the glowing reviews. If you read my blog then you’ll know that I normally recieve a birchbox, but this month I really wanted to try something new. The Look Incredible box contains 5 full sized items and in the past has been known to feature brands such as Nars, Too Faced, and Mac just to name a few. Look Incredible have two beauty box subscription options to choose from, the Standard box at £25.00 (previously £18.99) and the Deluxe box which contains higher end brands for £35.00.
I adore the idea of beauty subscription services because they allow people to try items that they wouldn’t normally buy and it can be a great way of discovering new beauty favourites. I love the fact that Look Incredible offer their subscribers 5 full sized products, I think it makes them stand out from competitors and it’s a really nice monthly treat to look forward to. I have the standard edition of the box and I have to say I was really wowed more than I expected to be when I opened up this baby and got a glimpse of what was inside.
As far as I’m aware (correct me if I’m wrong), the standard box is usually black with gold writing, but for some reason I received my products in the white box which is normally sent to people with the deluxe subscription. I’m guessing they probably just ran out of the black ones so put my products in a white one instead. Not that the colour of the box is an issue in anyway whatsoever, I just thought I’d give it a mention incase anyone was confused.
Ciate Glow-To Illuminating Blush – Baby Doll – RRP £22.00
First of all, I have to say I think the packaging of this Ciate illuminating blush is so pretty. The blush itself is like a peachy pink colour combined with a shimmery highlight that looks so radiant and beautiful on the skin. I like that it’s pigmented but also build-able, leaving you with the option of going for a more subtle glow or a more glam makeup look. The product lasts well through the day and I think this will be a favourite of mine to use through the summer.
Estee Lauder Pure Color Envy Liquid Lip Potion – 250 Quiet Riot – RRP £17.00
This is an absolutley beautiful, classic red coloured liquid lipstick from Estee Lauder. I’ll be honest, I normally go for warmer, orangey toned reds so this lipstick shade isn’t something I would normally pick for myself. I do however really like this shade, it’s not too harsh or bright and has a really elegant, classic look to it making it ideal for an evening out or to add a pop of pretty colour during the day. The Estee Lauder Liquid Lip Potion glides onto the lips like an absolute dream, the applicator wand is amazing to use and it definatley makes the application process an easy one. The formula feels really moisturising on the lips, it’s pigmented, creamy and leaves a beautiful matte satin finish.
St. Tropez Gradual Tan Plus Lotion 150ml – RRP £16.00
I was really glad to recieve this Gradual Tan Plus Lotion by St. Tropez with the summer months coming up very soon. The warmer weather will be very much welcome and I don’t tan well naturally so I need all the help I can get to achieve that summery, sun-kissed glow. This product claims to keep your skin lovely and moisturised for up on 24 hours whilst re-inforceing your skins natural defences, firming, toneing and giving the skin a natural, bronzed glow. I haven’t had the time to test this out as of yet but I love St. Tropez and this seems quite promising – I’ll make sure I do a full review on this at some point.
Nails Inc Nail Polish – Princes Square – RRP £15.00
This is a gorgeous and girly pink polish by Nails Inc in the shade Princes Square. I’ve always found Nails Inc polishes to have fantastic lasting power and the brush makes the application process practically effortless. It’s such a pretty colour and it’s one that I’m sure will come in super handy come the summer time.
Lord & Berry Magic Brown Pencil – RRP £14.00
I don’t normally use eyebrow pencils, I tend to use brow powders and such things so this was something new to try out. This brow pencil by Lord & Berry features not one, not two but three colours to give a gorgeous, natural look. I found the blending wand on the other end a nice touch and the pencil was simple and easy to apply. I think this is the perfect choice if your looking to achieve soft, natural eyebrows – The only thing that I would say is that I wish the pencil shade was a tiny bit darker, but that’s my personal preference.
Overall, I’ve been really impressed with my first box from Look incredible. The products are all great and it’s fantastic value for money with £84.00 worth of beauty treats packed inside. If you consider the cost of the box, this really is money well spent and such a fabulous treat to recieve off the postman every month.
